Art For Hope is a digital publishing project that will raise awareness and funds for the relief effort in Japan. A collection of works based on a them of hope, from a variety of artists created with SketchBook products. The collaboration between autodesk and Viz Media opened for submissions back in July, and I was lucky enough to have a piece selected.

I hear the e-book should be released some time in December.

Just wanted to give a heads up.

My image is based on the idea of hope and freedom from behind the wheel. Had to get a car in there somehow.

I spent a week in New York for Comic Con earlier this month, manning the Autodesk booth.
We got to hang out with a bunch of awesome artists and I got to jump on the new Cintiq 24HD which fed to huge 52" screens.

We had a sick Epson printer set up to print off pieces after demos and people could get them signed.
Got to meet the dudes from Creature Box, Damion Scott, Ryan Stegman, and the man known as Phil Noto. all hugely inspiring.

Looking forward to next year, already.

Next big event is Autodesk University in Las Vegas at the end of November, A lot of the artists from NYCC will be there again.

I've had a few people ask about ordering prints.

This is something I wasn't thinking about initially, but makes a lot of sense.
I am lucky enough to own an insane Epson printer that can print border-less at 17"X22" gallery quality images, with impeccable color and tone. In either Glossy Photo paper to Velvet Art paper, I can do it all right here. So no middle man, which keeps prices low.

At the moment, I don't have a store set up, so shoot me an email and let me know the print(s) you'd like.

8.5 X11 $8
11 X 17 $15
17 X 22 $25

(Some of the images, don't fit to the paper sizes, because of aspect ratios. So, there may some white space on either side. But we can work out these details)

*Plus shipping. Shipping multiple prints will be the same price (same tube/weight) Or, if you live in the GTA, I can probably deliver. Top quality service, sounds like.

Well, it's 2011 and the internet is starting to gain some traction. It just seems right that Runciman Concepts be on the cutting edge and get into the website game.
